Naprawić przyszłość

Marcin Napiórkowski

We live in such a complex world it’s
increasingly difficult to even understand
the most basis processes occurring in it.
Once upon a time, stories helped us with

that: great narrations, religion, mythology,
faith in progress. Sadly, the people who
told them have fallen by the wayside.
Or gone over to the dark side. Technology
and the humanities developed side by
side for centuries – they complemented
each other and built a relatively coherent
and comprehensible picture of the world.
Unfortunately, several decades ago
their paths divided. Unfortunately,
the consequences of that are lamentable –
anxiety, an ocean of fake news and a lack
of control over aggressively galloping
capitalism are only some of them. In his
brilliant analysis at the boundaries of
sociology, anthropology, and political
science, Napiórkowski shows us it doesn’t
have to be like this at all. However, in
order to correct this universally dangerous
trend, we need a new narrative: bold, and
ambitious in scope, which will make many
of these phenomena more comprehensible.
Only in this way can we restore control
over our increasingly chaotic reality.
