Ludwik Jerzy Kern
Ludwik Jerzy Kern (1920–2010) – Polish
poet, satirist, journalist, translator of
English and French literature, lyricist.
He was awarded multiple prizes for his
writing, including the most important
national accolades in Poland. During his
life he was an important figure in Polish
culture, writing lyrics for the songs of
Polish performing stars, and writing in
magazines. He authored over twenty
children’s books, including the series
about Ferdinand the Magnificent, which is
still part of the canon of Polish children’s
literature.
Kazimierz Mikulski (1918–1998) –
painter, scenographer, a member of
the Polish surrealist and poetic painting
community.
